Group Show: 'What Now?'

PM/AM Gallery, London, UK

‘What Now?’ is a new annual exhibition presenting the work of some of the most exciting names in global contemporary art. The inaugural event brought together some of the best international artists in two gallery spaces in Central London, spread over four floors in total.

The second in the series takes place in PM/AM's multiple floor gallery space round the corner at 37 Eastcastle Street. The exhibition runs until 7th July.

‘What Now?’ builds on the vibrant and innovative central concept for each edition, which is to explore the inspirations and innovations that guide and motivate the work of the featured artists. It holds traditional painting as a pivotal medium, but in recognising current trends and developments its limits lie far beyond the painted canvas. Its scope expands into adjacent artforms and processes, always paying attention to history and tradition, and how they are recontextualised and updated in the present.

As art theorist Keti Chukhrov wrote: “Art withers away if it doesn’t take interest in what is beyond the limits of art.”
