Pleased to announce Gordon Cheung’s participation in Subliminal Projects’ and Coates and Scarry upcoming group show, 'Visual Language: The Art of Protest', opening on February 11 at Subliminal Projects, Los Angeles.
"In a period of global turbulence, divisiveness, and political upheaval, we feel it is essential to bring artists’ voices together, calling for change through the universal language of art. Visual Language: The Art of Protest, will stand as an act of defiance, resistance, and awakening, using art in all its mediums to initiate dialogue and change. The tone of the works gathered will be diverse ranging from political, ironic, poetic, typographic, and abstract. As an artist and activist-run space, we recognize these issues are not just trending topics consuming our news and social feeds, they require dedication and long-term support to manifest real change and stop regressive politics. For the exhibition's duration, 10% of all proceeds will be donated to local and global non-profits engaged in aid."
