'If These Walls Could Talk' Video screening, Karachi, Pakistan

On Tuesday, August 18th, from 8:07pm to 9:24pm, my piece “30 May 2020 Minneapolis (History Glitch)” took part in “If These Walls Could Talk” – a screening of silent video and film works from over 21 countries, in the iconic 60 years strong landmark Village Restaurant in Karachi, curated by Amin Gulgee and Sara Pagganwala, produced by Ayesha Baigmohamed, and event directed by Pomme Amine Afzal. ⁣

It was a socially distanced occasion, with the screening and dining taking place in the restaurant parking lot from respective individual cars, drive-in cinema style.⁣

My times in Karachi have included exhibiting in the FOMMA DHA Art Center as part of the Karachi Biennale in 2017 and taking part in the Vasl International Artists' Residency in 2004. It’s an honour and pleasure to be once again involved in a place where I’ve met lovely people and made lovely memories. ⁣
