‘Uneasy Persuasion’ takes a ‘kitsch’ look at popular culture, the realities of economic downturn and the uncertain futures that we face.The artists in this show use observation, skill and wit to pose questions about the franchises and brands we love, and our slavish loyalty to fashion and international commerce. Their work is poplike and irreverent, recognising that they too are part of the ‘uneasy persuasion’ of global capitalism.
